1] Loyalty to Thrash meetal is a registered mark of Tankard, for you, what makes a band keep loyal to its roots?
Well, we always just played the music we were really into.
We never took care about new popular styles and we always remembered our roots!! That's all!!

2] Germany can be concidered one of the homes of thrash metal, bands like Destruction, Sodom, Kreator and Tankard are needless of any introduction. in your opinion is there any special factor for being so many good bands over there?
I don`t really know, why germany has so many thrash bands, in general metal is very popular over here.

3] Beer and heavy metal combined are perfect, you concidere these your principal inspiration fonts?
First of all we are a funband, we have a lot of humour and don`t take ourselves too seriously. When we brought out our second demo tape there were a lot of new metal styles like speed, black, etc. so we did a joke out of it and called it alcoholic metal. Since these days we have that kind of image. But you are right, beer really fits to thrash metal.........cheers!!!

4] Bands like Desater and Aura Noir mix black metal with thrash from the 80's, how do you see this fusion?
I like desaster, we gonna play together with them in may in holland, we are really looking forward. Noir I don`t know, can you send me a cd???? I really would like to hear it!!!

5] the last release of Tankard is a celebration of the 20 years of the band, in all these years what has marked your career ther most?
As I told you to have fun, the feeling in the band is quite good, these two aspects are very important. ...and we are still into thrash!!!!!

6] what do you know about brazilian metal scene other than sepultura of course?
Ratos de porão, more I don`t know, you have to send me some cds ok?????

7] Today it´s hard to find 100% thrash metal bands, even Slayer we can say has been prostituting itself. Could you give us some names of bands in the world wide thrash scene which deserve a high light?
Sodom, kreator, destruction, holy moses and outburst from holland!!!!

8] Which are the plans of tankard for the future? Can we dream of someday having a south amarican tour?
That would be really great, as I know we have some fans over there.
That would be fun to have a big party with you!!!!!!!!!! Please organize something!!!!

9] Destruction has recorded a song of Exploited called Fuck The USA, and the moment couldn´t be more apropriate, due to all this war imposed by the americans. What position have you got to what has hapened in Iraq?
Great song of destruction. I´have absolute the same opinion as schmier.
This war is abig crime and really not necessary. Fuck mr. Bush and his government!!!!
